The qualified signature
A qualified signature starts with certainty about who is signing. As a qualified trust service provider we first establish your identity once, online with your passport. After that you receive a personal certificate: digital proof of who you are, which only you can use from your phone.
When you sign a document, that proof is anchored in the signature. Anyone can then verify that it was you and that nothing has been changed in the document since. That is why this signature counts just as heavily across the EU as a signature on paper.

Required by the Dutch government
For many documents an ordinary digital signature is not enough. For documents with legal or financial consequences the qualified electronic signature is sometimes even mandatory, for instance when you draw up an employment contract digitally as an employer.
Is an organisation asking you to sign in a qualified way? There is a reason for that. For documents with legal or financial consequences, such as an employment contract, an ordinary digital signature is not enough. The Dutch government then prescribes a qualified signature.

You register once, entirely online. After that the app is the key to your identity, wherever you need it online.

You will find the Cleverbase app in the App Store and Google Play. To register you only need your passport or identity card.

We establish once that you really are you. That happens entirely online: with the chip in your passport or identity card and a short video call with one of our staff, among other things. It is arranged in about ten minutes. Need help? Then read here about how the registration works.
